Just wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone who has favorite-d and commented on my new deviations. Definitely an overwhelming amount of both and it would take me a while to actually thank everyone individually, so i figured i would write a quick journal. Just wanted to post a quick journal entry to let you know that my girlfriend Michele started a new DA account. You can find her new cute creations over at . She is making some really cool plush toys and selling them on her etsy shop. So check them out if you have time.

As for me. I have been pretty busy. I was doing character design on the second season of Ugly Americans. I finally have some time to get back to finishing some commissions. Also making lots of new art for NYC comicon in october. Making a new sketchbook, one of the reasons i have not been posting anything new. Hope everyone is doing well. Probably start throwing up some newer stuff around here soon. take care.

SO yeah, intended on updating with some halloween posts, but everything seems to be pointing to the hard drive on my new mac being dead, so updates will be a little delayed for now until i get it fixed. Anyone else have similar problems with their mac before, not booting up and a question mark folder?

My good friend Patrick Dorian whom I used to work with, just posted the final cut of his short stop motion film entitled The Ornament on his blog [link]. It is definitely worth going to check out and a huge accomplishment! Watching this all come together back when we worked in hellish conditions was an amazing thing to see. I have never met anyone so hardworking, and able to learn so many new tasks in such short periods of time. He is a phenomenal designer and artist. We were fellow Americans in a strange land, ha. Go check it out!

I was thinking about updating my scraps on an almost daily basis with sketches and such I have laying around. They keep piling up more and more over the months, and the more finished stuff I post is nowhere near an indication of all the sketching I do on a daily basis. So rather than let these things collect dust and go unseen, I thought maybe it would be cool to do this. My question is: would people be interested if I did this? Would you check them out?
I only ask cause, if not, I find scanning really boring and a pain in the ass, so thats why I never usually commit to scanning all this stuff. Well I guess that's it. Any opinion on this would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I rarely get the chance to do this, and so many in the past have been kind enough to mention me in a journal entry and help turn new people onto my work, that may not have in the past checked it out. I have wanted to do this for a while as well, So here it goes. These are people whose work I check out religiously on here.

My wonderful girlfriend and collaboration partner as of recent, continues to blow me away with her continuous progress as an artist. Each piece is stronger than the last and exhibits a very sophisticated use of shapes! Definitely keep an eye on her work, if you are not already.

A very close friend of mine, and amazing cartoonist! Rob's work has a beautiful charm to it. Each new batch of stuff he shows me displays amazing amounts of growth and knowledge of what makes a good cartoon  drawing work. Keep an eye on him!

Victor is another close friend of mine, and basically one of my favorite artists. His sketch pages alone tell their own stories. The guy can do anything and should basically be an art director somewhere. I have learned more about color from him than anyone else. Just seeing him lay down markers on a piece is a sight to behold. If you are not watching him already you should go and do that immediately!

Shane is an extraordinarily talented artist. His character designs display very strong graphic shapes but still retain a great sense of volume! I look forward to each new piece, very appealing work!

Wow is all I have to say. When I first discovered Becky's work on here i just about wanted to favorite every piece, in fact i may have, ha. Incredibly gifted artist. Everything just oozes appeal!

I first found about this guys work when Maizekid74 was doing the same thing i am doing right now. I was an instant fan from that moment. Great designs abound in his gallery. Amazing use of color and graphic shapes. Def go take a look!

Kei's work is incredibly appealing. Adorable design work, and extremely appealing girl drawings!
